Invierno ST/CR est né de sept années de conversations, à Santa Teresa, au Costa Rica, au line-up, entre le réalisateur Jakob Daschek et le surfeur Lorenzo Wickstrom Vargas. Une réflexion au fil des saisons et des sessions sur la culture du surf, sur le tourisme et la manière dont la petite communauté côtière s’en trouve transformée. Alors que Santa Teresa évolue pour devenir une destination surf de renommée mondiale, la tension grandit entre croissance et perte, beauté et pression de la popularité.

Set in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, this short surf film emerges from seven years of conversations in the lineup between Jakob Daschek and surfer Lorenzo Wickstrom Vargas. Moving through changing seasons, the film reflects on surf culture, tourism, and time, and how each reshapes a small coastal community.
As Santa Teresa evolves into a global surf destination, the story explores the tension between growth and loss, the beauty and strain of popularity, and the ocean’s ability to level everyone who enters it. In the lineup, background falls away, and surfers meet as equals, connected by waves, place, and shared respect for the sea.
