Chris Nelson has more than 30 years experience in delivering cutting edge, independent media as a screenwriter, journalist and filmmaker, exploring the intersection of the counterculture and the mainstream. He has authored nine best-selling books including the critically acclaimed Cold Water Souls – an anthropological study of surfing’s cold water pioneers. He founded two genre defining action sports magazines and has written ground-breaking documentaries, series and films. He is currently in post-production with The Big Sea – a feature documentary that links Neoprene production to Cancer Alley in Louisiana USA. He is the co-founder of the London Surf / Film Festival.
