Réalisateur et scénariste italien
Tout juste diplômé du Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, Valerio Ferrara travaille comme assistant du réalisateur Marco Bellocchio. Ses courts métrages sont sélectionnés au Festival de Cannes et à la Mostra de Venise, et nominés aux prix David di Donatello et Nastri d’Argento. Il fait ses débuts en long métrage avec Il Complottista, présenté en avant-première au Festival du film de Rome dans la section Alice nella Città et sorti en salle en 2025. Valerio Ferrara a remporté le premier prix La Cinef à Cannes, le prix CILECT et le prix FEDIC à Venise.
Il accompagne, en 2026, la première édition du Brest Film Lab imaginé par le Brest Surf Film Festival et le Napoli Pianeta Mare Film Festival.

After graduating from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografica, he worked as an assistant to Marco Bellocchio. His short films have been selected for the Cannes Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival, and nominated for the David di Donatello and Nastri d’Argento awards. He made his feature film debut with Il Complottista, which premiered at the Rome Film Festival in the Alice nella Città section and was released in cinemas in 2025. He has won the first prize La Cinef at Cannes, the CILECT Prize, and the FEDIC Award in Venice.
He is mentoring, in 2026, the first edition of the Brest Film Lab, conceived by the Brest Surf Film Festival and the Napoli Pianeta Mare Film Festival.
