Buoyancy. A Surf Story From Taïwan
Synopsis :
On Taiwan’s remote east coast, Apoo Lee runs Buoyancy Board Store – a small, alternative surf shop built on craft, community, and the stoke for Taiwan’s
ever-changing waves. At a time when surfing feels oversaturated, Apoo’s world is a reminder of what it’s really about – a life shaped by the ocean and the people who share it.
« Apoo is an absolute legend! It’s a joy to shine a small spotlight on him. Taiwan is a country under pressure, but the people I meet here just want to be free –
to chase waves and see where the ocean takes them. »
Director & Filmmaker: Jonathan Str.mberg « Jonis Strom »
As Apoo Lee puts it:
« We’re just trying to bring more beauty into surfing.
Because in the end, what more do you really need? A few sick boards, fun waves and good friends. And your family, Choya and Mumu (The star of the movie) filming your best one from the beach.”
